Sunday School

As a church we place a very strong emphasis on the word of God and the role it plays in the believer's life.   Therefore, we offer Sunday school classes for all ages from infants & toddlers to senior adults and everyone in between.   Sunday School is an opportunity to engage the word of God, to answer questions, ask questions, and to interact with the text so that we can consider how we might apply the truths of God's word to our lives in very practical ways. 

Consider these words from Psalm 119:9 - 16

9How can a young man keep his way pure?

By living according to your word.

10I seek you with all my heart;

do not let me stray from your commands.

11I have hidden your word in my heart

that I might not sin against you.

12Praise be to you, O LORD;

teach me your decrees.

13With my lips I recount

all the laws that come from your mouth.

14I rejoice in following your statutes

as one rejoices in great riches.

15I meditate on your precepts

and consider your ways.

16I delight in your decrees;

I will not neglect your word.

The Psalmist expresses his appreciation and gratitude for the Scriptures.  He has made a commitment to God's word and has vowed not to neglect His Holy Word.   As Christians we ought to make such a vow, to allow the word of God to have priority in our lives, to be dedicated to times of reflection, consideration, and study. 

As believers in Jesus Christ it is our desire to allow God to speak to us through His Holy Word allowing His word to permeate who we are and all that we do.  So that in some small way we may become living expressions of His Word to the world in which we live.
